Moooi: Through the Eyes of… & the Museum of Extinct Animals

Moooi presents "Through the Eyes of... & the Museum of Extinct Animals" at the 2018 edition of Salone del Mobile, Milan.

This year Moooi travels to Milan on a timeless adventure, offering visitors the chance to explore the extraordinary diversity of beauty in all its forms. The brand developed inspiring new ways of presenting the many creations at 'via Savona 56' during the 2018 edition of Salone del Mobile. The show space consisted of three exhibitions during the week; 'Moooi Through the Eyes of Megan Grehl', 'Moooi Through the Eyes of Concrete' & 'The Museum of Extinct Animals'.

Inviting interior design practises Megan Grehl from New York and Concrete Architectural Associates from Amsterdam, each studio designed two interiors exploring that explore the designs and innovation of the Moooi brand. Concrete and Megan Grehl had access to all the products from furniture and lighting to fabrics, carpets and accessories, with complete freedom to create an interior reflecting the essence of their philosophy and artistic vision. The only common factor featuring in these two very different spaces were the iconic Moooi designs showcased in entirely different ways between the two worlds.

Moooi pulled out all the stops with their latest exhibition, wowing the crowds with such a large space, containing all the designs from the brand, displayed in unique an creative ways. At a time when 'Instagram' friendly installations are at their peak, Moooi managed to take it one step further with an insightful experience that connects visitors so personally with the brand. After another hugely successful year, I am already counting down the days until I can experience what Moooi has in store for 2019.
