Dimorestudio: Hotel Saint Marc

Dimorestudio transports guests back to a time of retro deco glamour. Explore the designs of this impressive Parisian boutique hotel.

Transporting guests back to a time of retro glamour, Hotel Saint Marc has achieved something where many hotels of this style fail. Combining luxurious materials, striking prints and elegant fine detailing, the designers Dimorestudio have captured the essence of the Art Deco style whilst gently exposing it to the contemporary world. The carefulness and respect for Art Deco design have created a hotel that feels comfortable and natural rather than one that feels forced and quirky.

Located in the heart of Paris, close to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, Hotel Saint Marc gives you the very best in design and services. Boasting twenty-five rooms and one suite, each space has been designed as a luxurious and intimate private apartment. Categorised into six different designs which have been characterised by the dominant colour within the space: Sky Blue, Petrol Green, Pink, Burgundy, Mustard Yellow and Fir Tree Green.

Divided into five categories: Superior, Executive, Deluxe, Prestige and Suite, the hotel offers accommodation and packages to complement the requirements of each guest. Every room offers views over the Place Boieldieu, the hotel's courtyard or towards the Théâtre National de l’Opéra Comique, managing to capture the calm and tranquillity of this unique area, just moments away from the hustle and bustle of central Paris.

From the moment a guest steps into the hotel, it is noticeable that no detail has been spared. The impeccable joinery of materials, the relationship and stories that they create allow visitors to take in and admire as they interact with each area. The large communal areas remain clean and simple not to detract from the beautiful use of contrasting prints, materials and furniture. Everything from the unsymmetrical layout of the black stripe and brass wall lights to the brass trim detail of the black gloss skirting boards has a place and job in unifying the design.

While each room and suite have their own unique colour palette and style, it is impressive to understand just how difficult this Art Deco-inspired look is to achieve. The use of contrasting materials such as velvets and leather, each applied in a rich colour and then framed by chrome, brass or jet black detailing can be incredibly difficult to pull off. Add a series of bold prints to the mix and you can easily understand why it can quickly become a recipe for disaster unless you have the extraordinary skill and understanding of how each material, colour and pattern can work together to create one truly iconic design demonstrated by the team at Dimorestudio.

With limited rooms and availability, this is a hotel that fills up very quickly. Hotel Saint Marc is the perfect place for people that appreciate strong design and luxury in life. Complete with a spa, indoor swimming pool and steam room, the hotel's amenities are a great way to finish off a day of exploring the mesmerising sights of Paris.
