Lee Broom: Park Life, Sydney

Lee Broom presents the landmark exhibition 'Park Life' with Space furniture in Sydney, Australia.

Lee Broom creates one of his most significant landmark installations to date, a presentation with Space Furniture in Sydney, Australia. The show space is entitled ‘Park Life’ and showcases Broom's impressive portfolio of lighting, furniture and accessories for two weeks of March during his tour of Asia and Australia. Set within the underground car park below the flagship showroom of Space Furniture, the 4,000 square feet presentation is the largest showcase that the designer has created to date, and the response has already been incredible.

Working within the industrial surroundings of the underground car park, Broom transforms the space into a luxurious and contemporary interpretation of a traditional garden park. Taking the form of a maze, ‘Park Life’ transports guests into an enchanting world of discovery, through hidden passageways, with tableaus and vignettes exhibiting the brand’s lighting, furniture and accessories in never before seen displays. Every twist of the maze reveals a new elegantly styled space, a picturesque location that uniquely exhibits each of the collections, from a game of chess with the Lens Flair Pendants to a tranquil fountain garden embracing the Fulcrum designs.

The exhibition takes inspiration from the pleasure gardens of the 18th century which were often laid out with mazes and miniature waterways. These gardens were the places to be seen and to discover the latest in art, architecture, music and illumination. In the same way that these historic pleasure gardens entertained and lured visitors from far and wide, Broom's modernist interpretation creates a sense of escapism, amusement and drama, something that the brand is ultimately known for and something that Lee Broom's designs have achieved all across the globe.

The installation also showcased a beautiful polished gold finish for the award-winning Eclipse lights in single pendant light, chandelier and table lamp options.

A British designer that has gone from strength to strength shows no signs of stopping with every design show, exhibition and installation providing another layer to the Lee Broom brand. With another hugely successful design tour coming to a close, we are all waiting with bated breath for the next story to unfold.
