Residences and amenities designed by Angel O'Donnell are revealed at River Park Tower, One Nine Elms, London

River Park Tower at One Nine Elms, the tallest residential building within London’s Zone One, has introduced four impressive show homes and newly designed amenity spaces crafted by the acclaimed interior design team Angel O’Donnell.

These show homes are part of the towering 57-storey structure, which includes 334 upscale residences, including one—to four-bedroom apartments and a five-bedroom duplex penthouse, available for purchase through the developer and international agencies CBRE and Strutt & Parker. Collaborating with esteemed design and architecture professionals, Angel O’Donnell was tasked with creating vibrant, spirited environments that reflect the modernity and vitality of the Zone One area. The new designs blend contemporary and classic furnishings, bold colours, rich textures, and expressive artwork from emerging artists, weaving a distinctive youthful narrative throughout the homes.

The outcome is a lively, colourful, and artistic ambience—a fusion reminiscent of The Design Museum in Kensington and a chic Soho advertising agency—featuring numerous standout elements juxtaposing strong geometric forms with soft, fluid lines and vivid colours with complex patterns. Highlights include a highly innovative desk fashioned from a single sheet of glass; wallpapers created by GP & J Baker, a renowned design house with a royal warrant; unique furniture from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s; and cushions made from luxurious fabrics like New Zealand wool and Chinese silk. The residences have been meticulously designed to maximise views across the city, with low-profile furniture ensuring an unobstructed sightline. At the same time, winter gardens serve as focal points that guide the eye towards the London skyline. Angel O'Donnell prioritised adaptable living, creatively zoning spaces to facilitate versatility and enabling residents to effortlessly shift from work to relaxation, whether indulging in video games or sharing meals with friends.

In addition to the four apartments, Angel O’Donnell has designed several resident amenities: a cinema and karaoke room, a lounge on the 50th floor, a party-gaming area, a boardroom, and a mezzanine space. These areas encourage fun and leisure, fostering connections among friends and family in vibrant, engaging environments. A lively mix of stripes, geometric motifs, lacquered surfaces, colourful record artwork, and contemporary furniture brings a modern interpretation of Studio54 into the party-gaming room, which is furnished with shuffleboards, retro 80s Pacman, the latest gaming consoles, and a generously sized sofa for relaxing and socialising. The playful yet elegant theme extends into the cinema and karaoke room, featuring luxurious jacquard velvet seating, stylish swivel chairs adorned with tassels, and decorative elements in antique brass and ochre glass, ready to host movie nights and sing-alongs.

The sleek boardroom showcases a sharply designed, highly tactile custom table topped with red leather for private business meetings. The carpet is adorned with precise graphic lines, while the wall art by Brixton-based artist Olly Fathers offers a modern twist on marquetry through intricately cut wood veneers, inspiring creativity in all who enter. Sustainability is central to the project, emphasising locally crafted, small-batch pieces meant to endure generations. Each residence features a blend of noble materials like marble, wood, and bamboo silk, alongside VOC-free paints, organic cotton velvets, and recycled elements.

A DESIGN MASTERPIECE | River Park Tower unites a distinguished team of world-class architects, designers, and landscapers prominently positioned along the River Thames. Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), the firm behind London’s Covent Garden and New York’s Hudson Yards, designed the tower; interior design firm HBA Residential provided an exceptional base build with high-quality finishes throughout; and each home is fitted with integrated appliances from Miele and Siemens, alongside underfloor heating. Bathrooms are elegantly appointed with marble finishes and mirrored cabinets.
