Announcing Alcova, Miami during the city’s Art Week 2024
Alcova, one of the world's leading platforms for forward-looking contemporary design, is delighted to announce its return to Miami for its second international edition during Miami Art Week 2024, from December 3rd to 8th.
Building on the success of its inaugural Miami edition, Alcova continues its mission to transform unique and historically significant spaces into platforms for cutting-edge contemporary design. This year, Alcova Miami will be hosted at River Inn, Miami's oldest hotel, in the vibrant South River Drive Historic District in East Little Havana, adjacent to the Miami River.
Originally built in 1908 as a Victorian boarding house, River Inn is a cluster of pastel-coloured timber mansions that have been attentively preserved in their historical condition. Now located in the heart of one of Miami's most vibrant neighbourhoods, the site blends historic charm with a location that can be conveniently reached from both Miami Beach and downtown.
"We are thrilled to bring Alcova back to Miami," said Valentina Ciuffi and Joseph Grima, founders of Alcova. "River Inn, with its unique history and vibrant community atmosphere, encapsulates the spirit of Alcova's mission to create dynamic platforms which celebrate the architectural legacy of the cities we work in. Miami's unique urban fabric and architectural heritage continue to inspire us – and the designers who make up the Alcova community."
Visitors to Alcova Miami 2024 can expect a carefully curated selection of groundbreaking work by designers worldwide. The event will feature exhibitions from established and emerging designers, companies, institutions and collectives. As Alcova Miami approaches, further details about
The program, participating designers, and specific installations will be shared. Follow Alcova on Instagram and visit our website for updates.
