Milan Design Week / Ventura Centrale 2019: DNP

DNP showcases its 'Patterns as Time' installation at Ventura Centrale during Milan Design Week.

During Milan Design Week, DNP and its creative partners present a stunning installation created with advanced technologies that go beyond the traditional boundaries of printing under the concept title 'Patterns as Time'.

The vault was split down the middle, exhibiting two unique displays, the left designed by AtMa inc; a creative unit established in 2013 by Interior Designer Makoto Suzuki and Artist Ayumi Koyama, the right completed by noiz architects; a partnership formed in 2007 between Hong Kong-based Keisuke Toyoda and Jia-Shuan.

n the left side of the vault, AtMa Inc. has created 'Time Printing' a series of beautiful light installations; suspended discs and panels that have been 'printed' on with Japanese patterns, thoughts and ideas to capture the flow of time in mid-air. These panels have also been internally lit to create a dramatic 'timeline' that lures the eye and entices visitors to walk around.

The right side of the vault contains noiz architect's 'Patterns of Nature' installation in striking contrast, limiting colour and presenting an interpretation of zebra print and the camouflage capabilities that it has, cleverly integrating furniture pieces within the installation and showing the interaction that they have with the space.
