Hôtel de NELL, Paris

Experience five star Parisian luxury at Hôtel de NELL with the ultimate in bathing, a marble Japanese style bathtub.
The city of love, fashion, food and art are just a few ways in which people often describe the iconic capital of France, Paris. Traveling from across the globe, visitors come in their millions each year to experience the iconic art galleries, taste French cuisine and experience the culture of this outstanding city. When it comes to staying in the fashion conscious capital, the right hotel can make the world of difference, shaping your stay to the finest detail. Being a massive design obsessive, I used Design Hotels to help explore the finest hotels in Paris with the best style and service. Top of the recommendation was Hôtel de NELL, a five star boutique hotel located on Rue du Conservatoire, a ten minute walk from Gare du Nord.
Upon arrival, guests instantly feel welcome and at home with natural tones, soft lighting and floral displays used to decorate the entrance, hallway and lounge areas. A double sided glass fireplace divides the bar and lounge from the hallway, adding a touch of warmth on those cold Winter days and allowing bright, natural light to flood through during Summer. Scandinavian style wooden upholstered armchairs and coffee tables have been used to furnish the lounge and bar space, allowing guests to sit back and relax throughout the day.
The Cellar Library and main restaurant take on different styles, adding to the international feel of the hotel. Split by a large glass wall of wines, the Cellar Library has been adorned in rich woods from floor to ceiling with in-built book cases displaying fine culture and classics for guests to enjoy with a crisp glass of wine. La Régalade Conservatoire is the in house restaurant serving guests international cuisine from breakfast through to dinner. Keeping to a clean monochrome style, the restaurant features a classic black and white checker floor, a simple yet effective style with reference to iconic French cuisine.
It is the design of hotel's rooms and suites that grab the attention of potential guests, offering five variations of rooms, from the classic room that offers large windows and views into the courtyard to the Junior Suite, a large 55m² dwelling with separate living space, bathroom, bedroom and balcony with impressive views of the square in front of the Sainte-Cécile church. I was lucky enough to experience the Chambre Prestige, and impressive 35m² space complete with a large bed with crisp white sheets, relaxing lounge chairs, floor to ceiling windows and a bathroom of my dreams.
Who needs a bed when you can have an impressive marble Japanese style bath, complete with wooden seat, serving tray for a glass of Champagne and luxurious Nuxe pamper products? Natural tones, concrete, marble and wooden surfaces make the bathroom such a relaxing space to be in and enjoy. Large netted windows allow guests to bask in the natural light whilst keeping their privacy and a separate shower is available for those that cannot make time for a long sensual bath. (how could you not though?!) and a large double marble sink allows couples to get ready at the same time whilst enjoying the luxurious touches and romantic essence of the city.
Hôtel de NELL is the perfect Parisian getaway for those looking to enjoy the culture of the city, combined with the luxuries and services of a five star hotel. After a busy day exploring the streets of Paris, there is nothing better than returning to a cool bottle of Champagne and chocolates waiting in the room whilst you drop a Bvlgari bath tea bag into the Japanese bathtub for a soak. I have discovered my slice of paradise in the capital, it is now time for you to experience it too.
