This February, Heal's opened its doors to Edizioni Italiane, a showcase and celebration of fine Italian design, culture, food, drink and music. During the opening evening guests were treated to an event that only Heal's could pull off with a live art demonstration by talented artist Anna Laurini, delicious Italian food and drink set against the backdrop of fine crafted furniture and mesmerising live music. See below just a few of my highlights from the evening and the incredible pieces of furniture and art on display.

Being a huge fan of Anna Laurini's work, I was immediately drawn to her pieces on display within the room settings. Vibrant yellow had been selected for the bedroom, matching perfectly with the cushions, throw and Dickinson books whilst vivid blue had been selected for the living space to compliment the sofa and matching accessories. A third piece was created on the evening by Laurini herself, recorded live for those on social media to watch the creation unfold.

The celebration of Italian food and drink would be incomplete without a gorgeous table setting to enjoy it at. Adorned with blue handmade crockery, white marble placemats, accessories and a large olive branch centrepiece, the dining space reminds us all of just how important those moments of enjoying food and drink with family and friends are. The addition of green to the mix breaks up the cooler blue and white colours, giving reference to all things natural, warm and welcoming. My favourite selection has to be the marble napkin rings, a small touch, often forgotten that can go a long way to completing the look and impressing guests.

The final area of focus is another incredibly important place, the bedroom. What I particularly loved about the Heal's space is their incorporation of yellow into the space through the use of artwork and accessories. Yellow is a fantastic and positive colour that always brings a smile to my face but it is also a colour that many people are afraid to use. By using small injections of yellow through accessories and fabrics, you have complete control of how much or little you want to use, creating a room that adds the happiness of Summer all year round.
