Amara Press Preview AW16 Collection
Posted on October 25 2016
Launching their long awaited own label collection, I had the great pleasure of attending the Amara own collection preview to discover the new designs and AW16 season first hand over a rather delicious breakfast and incredible company. With over eleven years experience, an overwhelming portfolio of luxurious brands and a religious following of customers, Amara have managed to reach an inspirational milestone.
The inaugural collection brings togeher beautiful pieces designed and sourced from some of the indutry's finest brands and manafacturers. The products cover a vast area from candles and throws to crockery and lamps and have been designed with Amara's loyal customers at heart. Divided into styled sections, the season has been created around four main themes, all with their own unique character: Fantasy, Heritage, Graphic and Luxe.
Fantasy is the most feminine of the four styles, combining delicate embroidery with soft and subtle pastel tones. There is a fine attention to detail mixed with beautiful textures and light layers. The detailing has an elegant yet subtle appearance, making layering and mixing of products extremely easy.
Heritage mixes the grandeur of a country home with the richness of the true vintage pieces by using rich tones and luchious fabrics. This style has such a warmth and personal feel to it, making is perfect when welcoming guests and making a house feel like a home.
Graphic projects us into the metropolitan lifestyle with modern geometrics, injections of vibrant colours and a beautiful play with materials. A personal favourite of mine are the Art Deco crockery (images above) that reference an iconic design period with a modern twist. This is the style for lovers of the ultra modern, wanting to make a statement.
The final style, Luxe introduces Hollywood glamour with with a taste of eccentricity. Bold tones, eye catching patterns with heavy use of golds, silks and velvets to create that effortlessly perfect vibe that lovers of glamour aspire to recreate.
With such a diverse collection of styles, there really is something for everyone to create your dream style at home. It was such an insightful breakfast with the Amara team and a fantastic opportunity to see how this fantastic collection of products was created from the concept of the mood boards above to the finished designs proudly exhibited around the room.
