#MyMUJI Window Styling

To celebrate twenty-five years of MUJI in Europe, the brand is hosting a popup poster exhibition in Covent Garden and inviting top interior bloggers to style the window space.
Opening their first store in London twenty five years ago, marking an exiting move into European territory and their very first store opening outside of Japan, MUJI are celebrating by hosting a insightful and beautiful poster exhibition in a pop up shop located in St. Martin's Courtyard, Covent Garden. This exhibition celebrates the achievements of the brand and the incredible journey it has made across the twenty five years in Europe. If that was not exciting enough, MUJI has invited six unique bloggers to style the shop window for each day of the exhibition in a project called #MyMUJI.
Myself, along with Sarah Akwisombe, Bryony Blake, Interior Style Hunter, Decor8 and Liberty London Girl were invited to style the MUJI window space at their exhibition pop up space in Covent Garden. Each of us had the freedom to bring in our own stying items to aid the twenty-five pieces available from MUJI, along with one specific item that had been selected for us from the team. My item of selection was a beautiful wooden bowl from the Acacia range.
With the Acacia bowl in mind and the cooler weather setting in, my ideas turned to comfort and food, giving me the direction and theme of "A Cosy Autumnal Night In". I wanted to showcase some of my favourite items that I associate with those cosy nights in, away from the cold air and darkness of outside. My cosy night is divided into three main areas: "Food", "Drink" and "Relaxation" which can clearly be seen laid out in the display.
Food has been represented by the Acacia range of bowls, each filled with a specific item to represent an area of food during the evening such as the main meal, movies and snacks. The drink has been presented through the use of teacups, crockery, a kettle and of course tea itself, which can be seen in the use of spilt tea leaves across the table. Our final area and usually most popular, Relaxation is the most prominent and central focus on the display, represented with the use of a plush throw, slippers, candles and entertainment devices.
The whole experience has been incredibly exciting and it has been fantastic to see all the bloggers varying designs throughout the week, covering areas such as travel, clothing and makeup to name a few. Whilst the connection in design to MUJI was very easy, it was the limitation of space that proved to be challenging, one that I feel each blogger has overcome in a different and unique way.
I would like to congratulate MUJI on their anniversary and look forward to seeing what the next twenty-five years have to hold.
