London Design Fair 2017 Highlights

Exploring the exciting designers and brands exhibiting at the 2017 London Design Fair, hosted during the London Design Festival in Shoreditch.
With so many exciting events and exhibitions being hosted around London during the London Design Festival, there is always one place that I cannot wait to get stuck into. Amongst the industrial settings of the Old Truman Brewery is the London Design Fair, an incredible lineup of brands, ranging from new talent to established international brands, all under one roof. What I love about this exhibition is the jewels of discovery. With many big name exhibitions, visitors will know exactly what they are going to see. With new designers showing their works to the world for the first time, there is always something fascinating on display around every corner.
Contemporary glassware brand 'Nude Glass' were showcasing their impressive range of glassware designs, from the familiar designs of decanters and glassware to striking and unusual designs of their 'Memento Mori' skulls and the vivid tones of the 'Layers' collection. One of the latest ranges of designs to be released at the show is 'Parrot' a series of colourful and abstract water carafes and glasses in the form or a parrot. The range has been created by Tomas Kral and has already proven to be popular with the crowds.
After interviewing Vanessa Agyemang back in 2015 about her wonderful brand 'Copper Dust' it has been a pleasure witnessing her brand and designs grow over the years. Showcasing her work at the London Design Fair for the first time, it was great to see the vibrant designs of her Peacock lampshades come to life within the exhibition space set against other beautiful works from select designers.
Cole & Son created a fascinating installation called "Fabric Fantasia", showcasing with an exclusive preview of the brand's new fabric collection that launches at the end of the year. The collection has been designed and conceptualised by British Designer Kit Miles, exploring Cole & Son's most iconic designs as they are reimagined for fabrics and applied to 3D geometric shapes.
