Back in 2014, I shared some of my favourite designs from LINLEY London in a post called 'Luxury In Detail' Three years later, I see how the collection has evolved.
On 23rd September 2014, I shared some of LINLEY's luxurious designs and gift ideas in the 'LINLEY: Luxury In Detail' post. Three years later, it is time to explore the brand's latest collections of beautiful design pieces. From a simple keychain to an extravagant bespoke dining table, LINLEY has always been the brand that has something for everyone. It is fantastic to see that as the brand continues to evolve that this ethos remains strong, allowing everyone to have that special something, handcrafted in the finest materials. I share with you some of my favourite designs and top recommendations for gifts this season.
Hong Kong Skyline Box
LINLEY is famed for its incredible marquetry, transforming what is often associated with traditional craft, into highly sort after contemporary designs. The Hong Kong Skyline box caught my eye due to the mesmerising red of the hand-dye Bolivar sails. Depicting the scene of a Chinese Junk Boat sailing the waters with the iconic Hong Kong skyscrapers in the background, the cityscape boxes each tell a unique and intricate story. Works of art in an unlikely place, perfect to inject colour and character into a display cabinet or dresser.
Cocktail Box
It was one of my favourite items then and it still remains a firm favourite now. For those looking to entertain in luxurious style, the cocktail box is the perfect companion, storing all the cocktail necessities all within an elegant handcrafted box adorned in hand dyed charcoal veneers of ripple and straight sycamore with mother of pearl detailing. The contents of the cocktail box contain a Trafalgar cocktail shaker, four Trafalgar martini and shot glasses, olive sticks, magnetic coasters, silver ice tongs, silver cocktail swizzle stick and silver spirit measure. In true LINLEY style, a chopping board and knife are housed in a secret drawer at the base of the box.
LINLEY London Matchbox Sleeve
Taking us back in time, this beautiful matchbox sleeve makes the perfect gift for someone that has everything. Inspired by the matchbox designs of the mid-nineteenth century, this incredible item has been crafted in walnut with red betulla and laser-etched sycamore inlay. A wonderful and functional display piece, this design is LINLEY through and through, putting the fun and luxury into an item that is so often forgotten.
Evolution Slim Round Trays
When the cocktails are served and the party is in full swing, you need a tray to complete the presentation and inject luxury into the home. Available in small, medium and large sizes, each tray has been crafted in European calfskin and finished with handcrafted a bronze frame and handles. The trays can be stacked large to small for easy storage and the colour variations add to the beauty of the design, creating a elegant display when not in use.
Crescent Fruit Bowl
Released for the celebration of LINLEY's 30th anniversary, the Cresent Fruit Bowl is created in American walnut and has been completed with a hand-turned sycamore base. A design inspired by the original 'Walnut Fruit Bowl' from the 1985 collection, David Linley's first home accessory, we see a reinterpreted design with a luxurious and contemporary presence, perfect for a dining space or kitchen as a functioning fruit bowl or decorative piece.
All the items featured can be discovered and purchased on the LINLEY website via the link. I have always had a love for the brand and it is so lovely to see that three years later, the designs continue to evolve and expand into fascinating new areas. I would love to thank the team for all of their support over the years and cannot wait to explore the new and exciting products ready to be released in the future.
